To get started all you need is a TEXT Editor such as windows NOTE PAD!
Create a file called default.txt and when finished adding the HTML
to the contents of the file, rename it to default.htm and UPLOAD
to your hosting space via their browser UPLOADER or better still via
a FTP utility. I recommend FTPCUTE and you can download a trial version
from http://www.TUCOWS.com (Search for CUTEFTP)

technically documents how to setup for their system ]
You can even associate .htm extension to NOTEPAD to make it easier to
edit the file. Some people use FRONTPAGE an advanced HTML Editor
by Microsoft, but I recommend learning some BASIC HTML and using NOTEPAD
text editor to get a first page going, so you have some concepts of
what its all about!

Note! Some Hosting sites may use default.htm,default.html,default.asp,
index.htm, index.html, or index.asp for the first loaded page so

Firstly, HTML is a special type of text file a browser can read
and display. It was the first form of WEB DOCUMENTS. Now days
new functions have been added via program scripts and lauguages
which a browser can excecute such as JAVA Script and Applets,
but here we will deal only with the BASICS and understanding
how the HTML code works.
HTML not only contains normal TEXT in it but has a collection
of commands embedded amongst the normal TEXT WORDS.
The Browser scans the document before displaying and converts the
special functions/commands in to Interactive TEXT or Text Colors
or formats and alike.
The browser understands that anything surrounded by these brackets < >
contains a Command or Function and not to display as normal text
but to process it at that point in time.
General Format of commands using the < > Brackets
< HTML COMMAND > Turns ON a command or function e.g. Bold Text from here
< /HMTL COMMAND> Turns OFF the function e.g. disable BOLDING
You notice it has a FORWAD SLASH AND REPEATS THE COMMAND PREVIOUSLY Activated
You also can have Variables that over ride the COMMANDS default
attributes and these always follow the HTML COMMAND like so

To start a new page we tell the WEB BROWSER the following text
is HTML document and at the end of page disable HTML decoding.
In the Body command we tell the WEB Browser what the default background
and TEXT colors we want. These are variables after the command as described above.
This is how to put a Double Height BLUE HEADING at
the TOP and centered on the page and underlined.
Note! You would paste it after the 'html' & 'body' commands as above!
H2 means double size characters, Center means just that!,
and font tells it how the TEXT should look, in this example its
color and 'U' means to underline the following Normal TEXT.
Special NOTE, that 'BR' command means Line Break = NEWLINE/RETURN
To give a horizontal line above and below a image after the
heading we would do the following HTML Commands.
Plus add a BOLDED Caption, above with image with 'B' command.
Now! The most important FUNCTION a HYPER-LINK to another WEB PAGE,
generally on another web site. This is where you would enter
your Referral Affiliate Code URL links from your web site

Special NOTE! The Target Variable ="_blank" will open a
NEW Browser window and display that web page there or
="_self" to open in the current browser window!

the background and font colors of your HYPER-LINKs when

NOTE! The Style command spans and takes effect on the whole page!
