I can't even begin to describe how amazing fatal frame 2 was. The adreneline that is pumping through your veins as each new door you open is insane. The story line sucks you in that no matter how much you don't want to enter that room that is stained in blood you do it anyways because you are dying to see what happens next. i am proud to say that i have another sister who hates games like this but i got her to play and now she is wanting the thrid one. If you enjoy a good scare and a beautifully crafted demonic and horrid story line, get this game! you won't be sorry...just don't play it alone. |

I wouldn't suggest this for car rides, especially if you get nauseous concentrating while riding like me. My only complaint is the music...very repetitive...so if you have an mp3 player or an iPod, it'd be better to use that as music. Well...yes the gameplay is repetitive, but it's fun to a challenging point because each of the puzzles are different. I would actually rate it 4.5/5. |

Not only does it promise brand new graphics and a new engine, it also features many game-play mechanics never before seen in the series or even in the history of the fighting video game. But even with the presence of such new features the game-play still is every bit as faithful to the Street Fighter series as any before it. If you are looking for a version that plays every bit as well as the Arcade version and yet feels more powerful or prettier, the PC version is definitely the way to go. The game starts off with a splash screen with a PC settings button, which brings you to a plethora of options to tweak your Street Fighter 4 PC experience to the optimal level that you want, or would ever want. An option to add full screen anti aliasing to the impressive graphics and a selector that allows you to choose two brand new (and aptly named) rendering options called Posterization and Watercolor makes you feel like you are playing a very polished product. The graphics feel comical but for a game that features 3D graphics on a 2D plane, this one takes the cake in every way. Just picture the same graphics you have seen in the arcade version of the game and imagine it being five times better, that is what the PC version's visuals would be. You won't be disappointed with it, that's for sure. It's like the screen got candy coated with lush, colorful graphics. The game-play modes are the same as the PS3 and Xbox360 versions, but it seems the most comprehensive of the lot. There is a single player mode where you get to play through a series of matches culminating in a battle with brand new boss character Seth (he does look suspiciously weird), a blue alien looking man with an obvious agenda and a wicked Shoryuken move that hits a lot. The character's storylines all converge into a big weaving epic that revolves around Seth's search for Ryu's powers. All things considered, the story does have engaging elements for a fighting game, more for the fans to savor for aesthetic and reasons of lore. The Challenge mode allows you to complete specific combos in every round, helping you get those tough to do combos into your blood. And the Time Attack is very much the same kind of Time Attack mode to expect in a fighting game, fighting scores and scores of CPU opponents within a certain timing and with limited health. But all these modes are likely to only prepare you for the online play modes that you will more likely tear into once you get back home from a hard day at work. Everyone loves a little but of competitive Street Fighter and everyone knows how this game is practically tailor made for competitive play, but all aspiring fighting game professionals have to take into account the occasionally poor connection speeds, even bordering on unplayable. With that said, the online game-play is for the most part VERY playable and you will soon be busting out combos with online players. This is because of the huge number of really good players for the game, given its fighting game roots and fan-base ranging from the crazy fanatics to the casual spammers. The custom titles touting `merciless' or `genocider' above their names would suit them well here. With the introduction of the series expansion Super Street Fighter 4, this version of vanilla SF4 is already feeling a little dated. But fear not. This small bundle of game-play goodness still holds up fantastic, especially given the lack of good quality fighting games on the PC. So bust down and get that Mad Catz tournament stick you have been savin' up for and start romping. You will be occupied for months. |

The hardcore matches are the worst because you only have 2 chairs to use. The career/story is so easy to beat/finish. I mean I beaten it 15 times. The wrestlers in this version of SVR08 are wimps. They only last like 6 to 7 minutes. The only way to make the mathces longer is to have a 3 way bout. The only GOOD thing about this game are the sample c.a.w superstars & divas but even then that still won't save this lame game. I give this gargabe a 2 out of 10. |

The images are active and full. Your movement is not instantaneous click and jump to a different angle, zoom or closeup. You actually move through the scene. Second, the imaginative worlds. They are really breathtaking and vivid. These features alone make the game worth owning. Puzzles range from simple to virtually impossbile. Plot and objective is less than motivating and uncertain until nearly the end of the game. Moving about freely in unique and imaginative 3-D worlds is what this game is all about and makes it first rate. It is also what separates it from the point, click and jump adventure games. This is very close to virtual reality. |
