Because of this game, I am absolutely terrified to play video games and refuse to buy or touch one, its that addictive! If your life revolves around playing games, you might as well play this one, there is no shortage of games/strategies if you play online. People have made a real science of the types of games/campaigns you can play online. This is just as addictive if not more addictive than World of Warcraft but for this game you can at least win instead of wandering aimlessly in some fantasy world. If you are searching for a great workout game for the WII - the EA Sports Active: More Workouts is it. CON: It does not come with the resistance band or remote holder like the 1st game. You will need to purchase the accessory pack with the remote holder and resistance band or you could just purchase the 1st game (EA Sports Active) as well. I myself upgraded to better quality resistance band and I bought two extra bands from Sports Authority. One is medium resistance and the other band is a hard resistance. I use the hard resistance band for bicep curls and other arm excercises. I can really feel the burn! By the way, I use both EA Sports games during the week. EA Sports Active: More Workouts has also included exercises that work your core muscles like crunches, and leg lifts. This game will keep you motivated and you will probably start eating heathier because you will now realize all the work you had to do to burn 200 calories. You will probably stay away from the snicker bars and instead cut up a juicy pineapple for a nice healthy snack! You can also customize your own workouts as well. If you are trying to work a specific area you can add exercises to work lower or upper body or just do cardio. For example I created a butt workout. Lots of squats and lunges, including paddle surfing, and water skiing. The game does have some quirks - sometimes it tells me that I am not doing an exercise correctly and I have to shake the remote a bit to get to the next rep. So far (10 months) I have lost 45 lbs and lots of inches. Went from a size 14 to a size 6. Everyone wanted to know what I did to lose the weight and I had to tell them about this great game. It will keep you motivated! |

| Reviews : { Rating: 3.5 out of 5 } | Not sure about everyone else's problems, works perfect After much debate and reading all the reviews on here for the Nyko Perfect Shot, I decided to go out and buy one. I got mine used, but despite that fact, my Perfect Shot is pretty durable and works just fine. At first, I had a little gripe because I was playing HOTD 2 and the on-screen cursor was much lower than the rear sight, which made me think the gun was not as accurate as it should be. Turns out the problem wasn't the gun but my sensor bar placement, as it was above the TV and not below. When I moved the sensor bar, the sight and on-screen cursor lined up just perfectly, allowing me to continue my zombie blasting fun. Now mind you, I have the Resident Evil blaster adapter, which is a pretty cool gun adaptor, however, I love the feel of the Nyko Perfect Shot. Made me feel like I was using a 9mm or 45. Although I do have to agree with some reviewers, the handle is a little hard after holding the gun for some time and it does feel a little heavy...but then again, wouldn't a real gun be the same way too if you held it for over half an hour, blasting everything away? What I don't understand is people complaining about how cheaply made the construction is. Unless you plan on bashing this thing on concrete or against a wall, it should be just fine. Plus, the gun is not glued together, notice the 4 screws on the handle of the gun? This thing is actually screwed together, not glued. Oh and for those who are complaining it is hard to insert the Wii remote, there are two notches that line up with the two grooves on the sides of the Wii remote, line them up and the Wii remote slides in just fine. You can't just jam this thing in. So for the cheap price, this gun adaptor works great, I got this so that my friend could join me in HOTD 2 & 3, so I don't have to blast zombies alone. Plus, it's her idea of a date...an evening blasting zombies away. I love women like that! |

Being that JRPGs is my favorite genre of games, and I've played and own many of them, I've never been completely into the 'Tales' series. Sure I've played one in the past (specifically speaking 'Symphonia'), but I never had a win or lose opinion about the series. Well, 'Vesperia' completely converted me and now I must play each title as they come along. I thought about buying the game many times, and passed on it, and it wasn't until my utter disappointment with 'Final Fantasy XIII' that I finally decided to pick of Vesperia. See, I needed something to take out the bitter taste of my gaming experience that FF13 gave me - as that was the game that was supposed to take me above and beyond the JRPG experience. Visually it did, but that's simply all it did. Still, in a world of FPS shooters, it's hard enough finding some solid JRPGs out there for the next-gen consoles. And with that limitation I happily, gladly, and finally picked up 'Vesperia' only to find that it had EVERYTHING I loved most about JRPGs. It reiterated most of what I loved since 'Tecmo Secret of the Stars': Distinct characters; multiple levels of dark storytelling despite the light appeal; massive worlds with the freedom to explore them; A WORLD MAP (all JRPGs MUST have an accessible world map, sorry); a welcoming battle system that allows you to determine how your partners will or will not act with the equipment you present them with; levels and levels of character progression, skills, weapons, etc.; great music and voice acting; and beautiful visuals. One other key feature: MULTIPLE SIDE QUESTS to better your cast and experience. I'm not sure what I love most about JRPGs. There are so many elements that make the experience wonderful, but I think the ultimate appeal is spending time with the game and characters. It's hard to forget about characters who you literally watch make choices WITH you alongside them as a participatant. 'Tales of Vesperia' gave the player this experience as certain events, locations, and conversations with NPCs lead to different scenarios of the cast's development. Even when the characters were simply standing around having a conversation I found myself in love with them all because I was present in the occurrence and not an outsider to it. The only - and I mean only - thing I found obnoxious about the game was attempting to acquire secret mission 17 (as those who haven't played will see). Otherwise, I recommend this for anyone who wants an involved, solid JRPG. Another added bonus is this game actually has a Game + feature once it's completed so that most of what you earn in your first playthrough CAN be carried over via Grade points. And there are tons of DLC materials if you are an Xbox Live subscriber. Don't be afraid to take advantage of this material because the game looks cute, but she ain't easy. |
