Right out of the package, I traced a paper doll, drawing and coloring the clothes I made. The light was bright enough to see all the details, enabling coloring and shading easier than ever. The screen was large enough to accommodate the drawing paper I use, which scans to print out on regular-size computer paper. Of course, I checked out larger lightboxes. For the price and quality, I couldn't justify the greater expense. Always need more art supplies, right? Amazon offers this Light Box for half the list price. I checked around and couldn't find a better price. Anywhere. I highly recommend this LightTracer Light Box! |

The build quality is great, the manual focus clutch is a great idea and at first glance it seemed to produce great pictures with very little barrel distortion or chromatic aberrations. However, I just returned from a 3 week photo trip in Europe where I used the lens a lot in both indoor and landscape environments and for planned shots and spontaneous opportunistic shots. When putting the results through PP in Aperture 3, I noticed what appeared to be general softness in most shots at apertures f/5.6 and below throughout the focal range, and at a variety of speeds from 1/3s to 1/250s, and at ISOs from 200 on up. At a 100% crop under the loupe I discovered that in fact all the problem shots suffered from the same problem, which appeared to be a front focussing and de-centered bias, with the actual focus spot (spot focusing set on a Nikon D300s) appearing to be in front of, higher and to the left of, what had been intended within the planned DOF that I had wanted through the selection of aperture etc. This could possibly be adjusted through the AF Fine Tuning option on the the Nikon D300s, but not the de-centering issue though. I suspect I had a bad copy of the lens, and it was only 6 weeks or so since I received it, I returned it to the vendor, Cameta Camera, who immediately offered to replace it with another lens from a later batch (GREAT Service!). This is on its way to me now, and I will do some test shots when I get it. I have every hope that it will be as great a lens as people think - and, as I say, I suspect I had a bad copy. |

For what you get, the price just cannot be matched elsewhere! 3. The products(dummy cameras) were packaged nicely and looked exactly as advertised! This is a perfect setup if you are looking to install a dummy monitoring system. The cameras look exactly like a similar real set w/DVR that I saw for about $500.00. The IR style is an added feature as well. They are very easy to install and pretty stable and sturdy once you fix them to the mounting and angles that you want. Additionally, the fact that they dont have blinking lights is a great bonus because if you are going to use a set of four, who wants to keep climbling ladders and changing batteries! Finally, I liked the wires that came with the cameras. They are sticking out the back so all you have to do is place the other end underneath the mounting kit for added realism! Basically, These cameras are actually are shells of the "real" product only they have been disabled from operational use. You will also note that they throw in a bunch of warning stickers as well which cost about $10.00 if purchased on their own!!! |

I was INSTANTLY disappointed with the fact that the cutting element and guide were NOT at a 90 degree angle from the grid and base guides. I had to cut a number of sheets before I found the "sweet spot" on mine where it actually cuts... nearly how it is supposed to. This cutter certainly is NOT the tool you want to rely on for a truly professional look. I would have given it 1 star, except I only spent about $30 on it. I really shouldn't expect it to be truly accurate for only $30, I suppose. The trimmer is semi-solid in structure and use, though plastic... but seriously, the cutting mat and blade are definitely unreliable and a teeny bit wonky. Again, not professional grade. If you need precision (say, for wedding invitations, or something work related as an artist), find a better, likely more expensive, higher-end product. One day in the next year, I'll go all out and get a true professional quality trimmer(for professional use), which will no doubt come with a professional price. Until then, this one will do for hobby, craft, and more informal uses. |
