He gets you so hooked on the show that I watched the whole season in 2 days! And now I put it on just to listen to while doing dishes, laundry or any other chores, it's interesting and educational... makes for great background sound. I recommend it to everyone. |

| Reviews : { Rating: 4.0 out of 5 } | Not DVD quality This is a review of the actual product quality and not the movie itself. Basically, it seems like they did a shoddy job of encoding it for DVD. One wonders if it was purposefully done to encourage people to buy Blu-Ray discs. On my HD TV, the video quality is pretty pixelated and shadow areas have too much noise in them. I have other DVDs that look much, MUCH better on my TV because the information on the actual DVD's is of much higher quality. If you wondered why the price is this cheap, you now know. That said, the actual movie is wonderful and a joy to watch! |

Rudd and Segal’s “bro-mance” takes male-bonding to hilarious new heights that keep you laughing until the unforgettable last frame. |
| Reviews : { Rating: 4.0 out of 5 } | I Love You Man Movie Review I love this movie! "I Love You, Man" takes place in Los Angeles, California in present day starring the delightful Paul Rudd, Rashida Jones, and Jason Segal. Paul Rudd plays the character Peter Klaven, who is rather reserved and doesn't have many friends, which never seems to faze him until he proposes to the love of his life, Zooey Rice. Zooey has two best friends who she has had forever; Denise, played by Jamie Pressley and Hailey played by Sarah Burns. Zooey, Denise, and Hailey have a bunch of friends together that one night a week they host girls' night at each other's houses. During one of those girls nights, after Peter proposes to Zooey, Peter walks into Zooey and friends discussing how Peter not only doesn't have a best friend but he doesn't have any friends, therefore he most likely won't have a best man for their June wedding. Upset and embarrassed, Peter is on a mission to find friends or a best man. He seeks help through his brother Robbie, played by the hysterical, Andy Samberg, and through the help of his mom, played by the lovely Jane Curtain. The "friends" his mom and brother find for Peter are amusing and completely out there. But, out of nowhere he eventually finds Sydney Fife, played by Jason Segal. Peter and Sydney become fast friends and their relationship is truly great. In a way, they are complete opposites, Peter being more reserved, self conscious and having low self esteem, whereas Sydney being quite odd in his strange outfits such as shorts and ugg boots in the middle of June in California, and living a more carefree lifestyle just being who he is and not caring what people say and think of him. I think the acting is great and I love the pairing of Paul Rudd and Jason Segal. Paul Rudd is funny and charming and plays a fiance that every girl dreams to have. Jason Segal is fun, crazy and very entertaining. They play off each other really well throughout the film. The beautiful Rashida Jones, Jon Favreau and Tom Lennon light up the screen. I think Peter learns a lot from Sydney and I think after spending more time with him he starts to finally be more comfortable in his own skin and more confident with his work and relationships. Could Sydney be Peter's best man in the wedding just around the corner? I guess you have to see for yourself in this bro-mantic comedy! I highly recommend this for anyone who enjoys comedy, romance and laughing! Want more movie reviews and up to date movie news? Check out [...] |

| Description : | Juno MacGuff (Ellen Page) is a cool, confident teenager who takes a nine-month detour into adulthood when she's faced with an unplanned pregnancy-and sets out to find the perfect parents for her baby. With the help of her charmingly unassuming boyfriend (Michael Cera), supportive dad (J.K Simmons) and no-nonsense stepmom (Allison Janney), Juno sets her sights on an affluent couple (Jennifer Garner and Jason Bateman) longing to adopt their first child. |
| Reviews : { Rating: 4.0 out of 5 } | Juno - goddess of marriage and childbirth? The people who like Juno outnumber those who don't 3 to 1. I'm in the minority. At times it's cute and amusing, and the acting is good. It's a quirky story filled with quirky characters, but even with all the quirks it is neither complex nor endearing. Juno is a preternaturally intelligent, precocious, attractive 16-year-old teen who makes up her own rules. Apparently no one can control or even influence her, not her tough, gruff father, not her tough, gruff step-mother, not her school, not her best friend or her boyfriend. But before too long we discover that Juno cares too much, that her rude, tough, pushy, arrogant, disdainful, manipulative exterior is masking a real softie inside. How original is that? To mix things up a bit, in a transparent effort to make up something "original" about the story, Juno decides one day to have sex with her boyfriend. Keep in mind that the most endearing quality about the boyfriend is that he is a totally passive pushover and is easily manipulated by Juno. It is Juno's idea to have sex, and when Juno says she wants sex, the boyfriend, Bleeker, has little say in the matter. Appropriately enough, the seminal act, as it were, is concluded not by smoking cigarettes, but by eating Tic Tacs (one of the many quirks of the film). Of course it was unprotected sex, because as I said, Juno makes up her own rules. Juno gets pregnant and she decides to give the baby to a set of parents of her own personal choosing. Juno's father helps her with the interviews, apparently accustomed to letting his daughter have her way. Juno quickly finds the perfect couple, and she can't wait to dump the unwanted baby on them, almost as if she has found a family to take a pet dog she's had for a month and now has grown bored with. Throughout the pregnancy, Juno continues to be the rude, rule-breaking person she's always been, though here and there we see glimpses of her softer side. She mostly ignores her boyfriend, who never really was a boyfriend anyway. The rest of the story is quite boring, the end is quite silly. But the movie is too earnest to be a comedy, though I have no idea what it is being earnest about. I don't think it's necessary to say more, except that, in the end, after the baby has been given away, Juno inexplicably decides that she, at 16, is suddenly in love with Bleeker, and no one is more surprised than Bleeker himself. It seems that even though Juno prefers to make up her own rules and break everyone else's, there is, after all, one rule that she would like to believe in: the rule of happily ever after. And if that doesn't make sense after what I've described before, it's not supposed to. :-) For those of you looking for a good, earnest, quirky movie about first love, I would suggest The Sterile Cuckoo with Liza Minnelli. It's an old movie (1969) and may be hard to find. The novel by John Nichols is good, too. |

Thinking that buying the envelope and postage would probably be more then the refund I decided not to bother or to purchase any other DVDs from this company. |

| Description : | The Passion of the Christ focuses on the last twelve hours of Jesus of Nazareth's life. The film begins in the Garden of Olives where Jesus has gone to pray after the Last Supper. Jesus must resist the temptations of Satan. Betrayed by Judas Iscariot, Jesus is then arrested and taken within the city walls of Jerusalem where leaders of the Pharisees confront him with accusations of blasphemy and his trial results in a condemnation to death. |
| Reviews : { Rating: 4.0 out of 5 } | The Abattoir of the Christ I have never been a Mel Gibson fan, either as an actor or a director, although he has a wonderful eye for panorama and the use of lush color in his movies. But, since I enjoyed "Apocalypto" in spite of its problems (which any film painting on such a large canvas is likely to have), I finally decided to watch this much-hyped film. I was appalled. The story of the Passion is relatively brief, but powerful, whether or not you accept its literal truth. This film reduced its potency to an orgy of sado-masochistic exhibitionism with anti-Semitic embellishments. "Jews" are depicted as a faceless, howling mob lusting for sacred blood, some going so far to visit the site of the execution to gloat like comic-opera villains, something Jews of the time would have never done, places of execution being ritually unclean. Further, the "Satan" of the Gesthemane scene was equally problematic, a malevolent, androgyne cross between Klaus Nomi and Udo Kier. Gibson clearly sets his fey and urbane devil against the "muscular" Christ in what I thought was yet another Gibson indulgence of the tired, emasculated "homosexual evil" construct. Never mind that Satan, in the actual Passion story, never puts in an appearance. And these are fairly representative problems in what is, essentially, a two-hour long snuff film where the "Sermon on the Mount" is reduced to one line, swallowed up by loving, gratuitous shots of Roman punishments and execution methods. Indeed, if the movie has any value, it lies in a faithful reproduction of how Romans treated people who ran afoul of their rule. But as is, it takes the clear prejudices of the film-maker, slathers them with gore, and lays them on the flayed back of the unimpressive Jim Caveziel who - I hope - was very well paid for his efforts, at least. If this is a subject that interests you, I would recommend "The Greatest Story Ever Told." True, it is very long and can get very dry, but at least it tries to be as comprehensive as the historical record allows, and you actually hear the words of Christ as opposed to his shrieks. But the only "Passion" in this film has less to do with Christ than the turgid, dripping, dark obssessions of its maker. No recommendation. |

Seth (Jonah Hill) and Evan (Michael Cera) want nothing more than to lose their virginity before they head off to college. To do that, though, they need to get liquor for the big party that night. With the help of their friend Fogell, a.k.a. McLovin (Christopher Mintz-Plasse), and his fake I.D., the three of them go on a hilarious chase for that elusive booze, dodging incompetent cops (Knocked Up's Seth Rogen and "Saturday Night Live's" Bill Hader), angry neighbors and jealous boyfriends. |
| Reviews : { Rating: 4.0 out of 5 } | Super Bad and Super Funny Buddies looking for fun. This movie provides lots of laughs in the misadventures of these not so bad kids looking for fun. I don't want to give to much away other than say this film is well worth watching if you like raunchy comedies. The writers and actors caught the essence of young guys on the prowl. |
