Contrary to what some reviewers have said, I actually don't mind the fact that the author only presents a one-sided argument to defend his views. The book is called "The Case for Christ" after all, so what the heck did you expect? With that aside, lets focus on the actual book:
Lee Strobel presents numerous arguments in his book to convince the reader that Jesus was a historical figure, that Jesus was divine, that the gospels are trustworthy, that Jesus' miracles and resurrection actually happened, etc. Unfortunately, the evidence Strobel offers to convince the reader is rather weak, and sometimes downright laughable! For instance, Strobel acquires the "expert" opinion of a psychologist, one who happens to be a Christian apologist as well, to convince the reader that Jesus was a sane individual and not a crazy lunatic. Of course, this psychologist relies solely on the gospels to formulate his "expert" opinion that Jesus was not at all crazy but was in perfect mental health. This is entirely ridiculous because the gospels, containing numerous discrepancies, errors, and contradictions, aren't exactly the most trustworthy books ever written. How the hell can a modern day psychologist offer an "expert" opinion on a guy who's been dead for 2,000 years, and base that opinion on four gospels that contradict each other in many places? This is the most absurd use of psychology I've ever heard of! And this is just one example of "evidence" that Lee Strobel provides to convince the reader that Jesus was the divine messiah. Fortunately, the book is well written and well structured, making it easy for almost anyone to pick up and read. Strobel is a good writer, but definitely not a good historian.
If you're looking for a more convincing argument, one that is based on historical scholarship, then read "Jesus Interrupted" by Bart Ehrman.
